SERVICES Mirwood Enterprise Entertaiments
can offer.
ABOUT
Mirwood Enterprise was born of a desire to
organize and run live Music events, the passion of Tony
Bristow, alias DJ Dave Thomas, ie, SOUL, MOTOWN, and NORTHERN
SOUL. Formed in early 1999 with associate David Holds. The
formation of Mirwood is a culmination of many years working
as a jobbing DJ as well as organizing fund raising Classic
Soul nights in aid of his disabled son Thomas.
Mirwood Enterprise now organize and promote
Classic Soul nites. at Wombourne Civic Center, Cadburys
Social Club Bournville, Birmingham. Watch the Gig Guide page for information
on the above and future exciting announcements and dates.
Classic Soul Nites, takes
the format of dj Dave Thomas to spinning classic Soul and
Motown tracks to get you in the mood and on to the dance
floor to welcome live on stage one of the fabulous Classic
Soul bands (visit the Artistes page for more information)
from around the West Midlands.
Soul, Motown & Northern Soul Nites,
are devoted to spinning vinyl. Yes the 7" diameter
black piece of plastic with a hole in the middle, complete
with bumps, judders and scratches. The evening is aimed
more towards the Northern Soul sounds, consisting classic
60s and 70s, modern and crossover sounds along with some
classic Motown sounds.
Dave Thomas and The Mirwood Soul Crew, Mick
Stevens & John Russell, produce the evening with the
occasional invited guest Soul jock to ring the changes.
During all of the events feedback and music
requests are welcomed. If you have a favorite track, or
one that you have not heard for years, go ask him, if he
has it he'll play it, if he hasn't, it will drive him mad
and he'll have to try and get a copy for the next time.

experience in event organizing available to you to call
upon. From Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Corporate
Event,s Christmas parties and more Mirwood can help you
to make the event successful. Mirwood has contacts in catering,
both indoor and outdoor, We can help with venues, marquees
and many other aspects of organizing your special events.
We can also supply PA systems from 200watt to 24 channel
3 - 6k rigs, and cater for outside functiions.
